One of my roles within the production was Floor Manager, this role includes making sure everyone is where they are suppose to be with the studio, and to make sure that everyone understands what they’re suppose to be doing and making sure that the job runs smoothly, on the floor. The main duty was to call cues to make sure that everyone knew what they were doing. I thought I was quite good at this because I communicated well with everyone and made sure that everything was working properly. I felt like I had to work under pressure to make sure everything was going to schedule.
My second role that I did was being a camera operator I had to film parts of the fame.My duties of being a camera operator was to take directions of were the camera was going and what type of shots they wanted like close ups and who to focus on. With both of my roles I did try to the best of my ability because I have never really done it before so it was a new experience but I thoughally enjoyed it. Before i went on the camera I made sure that all the health and safety was right and that the wires were to the side before I went on it. I also made use that it was working and i knew the buttons.
Whilst with the roles we had to prepare and make sure everything was set up before we had to film. I brought some of the equipment into the studio were we were filming and set it up. i thought this was quite hard considering I have never done it before. But i thought i did a good job learning new skills and new ways of how to set up the equipment. I learnt how to set up the vision mixer and what is needed for preparation.
